Park Jin, MP of South Korea’s Grand National Party (GNP), headed a delegation of MP party members with the company of Kim Jeong Kee, South Korean Consul General in Shanghai, to visit SIIS and participated in the SIIS-hold seminar “The Future of China-ROK Relationship”. The SIIS President Yang Jiemian, V. President Chen Dongxiao, Professor Ma Ying, Director of the Dept of Asia-Pacific Studies, Gong Keyu, the Deputy Director, Yu Yingli of the department, Ye Jiang, Director of the Dept of European Studies, Xue Cheng of the Dept of American Studies, and Shao Yuqun, Deputy Director of the Dept of South Asian Studies were present at the meeting. Issues of the security of Northeast Asia, major power relations, Korean nukes and Sino-ROK strategic cooperation partnership were discussed in an in-depth way on the seminar.
