International Seminar of “New Age of Northeast Asian Cooperation and China-Japan Relations”

        December 14, SIIS and Democratic Party of Japan co-held an international seminar of “New Age of Northeast Asian Cooperation and China-Japan Relations.” Delegation of DPJ members of the congress led by Congressman Yamaoka Kenji, SIIS President Yang Jiemian, Vice President Chen Dongxiao, Director Yu Xintian of Academic Committee, Director Ma Ying of Asia-Pacific Studies, all of the Center for Japanese Studies, Vice Dean Fan Yongming of Institute of International Studies, Fudan University, Director Liu Ming of Asia-Pacific Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Director Yang Bojiang of Japanese Studies, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Deputy Director Gao Hong of Japanese Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the seminar. Scholars and Japanese members of the congress talked about the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, constructing East-Asian community, DPJ government’s foreign strategy, cooperative relationship among China, Japan, and South Korea and so on.
