January 4, SIIS held an academic seminar of “Great Power Relations in the Process of System Transition” as the first ceremonial seminar for the 50th anniversary of the founding of SIIS. PhD students from East China Normal University delivered reports on system change and great power relations, and the evolution of issues, values and ideas in great power relations. Researchers from the Party School of Shanghai Comittee of CPC, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and SIIS gave commented on the reports. SIIS President Yang Jiemian attended the seminar and delivered a summary speech.
