February 25, Sri Lanka Ambassador to China Karunatilaka Amunugama visited SIIS and talked with President Yang Jiemian and Deputy Director Shao Yuqun of South Asian Studies. The Ambassador hoped that South Asian countries could develop stronger relations with China during Sri Lanka’s presidency of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and Shanghai EXPO, and he also suggested to send Sri Lanka foreign affairs officials to SIIS for advanced studies.
