March 9, Romano Prodi, former President of the EU Commission, former Prime Minister of Italy, visited SIIS and attended the seminar of “Trilateral Relationship of China, EU and US in Transition,” the fifth of the serial seminars for the 50th anniversary of the founding of SIIS. Prime Minister Prodi and SIIS experts discussed on the post-financial crisis relationship between China and the EU and between China and the United States. President Yang Jiemian, Vice President Chen Dongxiao, Vice President Yang Jian, Director Yu Xintian of Academic Committee, and Director Ye Jiang of European Studies attended the seminar.
