SIIS celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Yu Zhengsheng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Tung Chee-Hwa,Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference,Zeng Peiyan, former Vice Premier, and Tang Jiaxuan, former State Counselor sent congratulation letters. Han Zheng,Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Mayor of Shanghai, attended the ceremony and gave a speech.
