The Seminar to Celebrate Sixtieth Anniversary of China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations Held in SIIS

March 2, the seminar on “Progressing China-Pakistan All-Weather Relationship: Celebrate Sixtieth Anniversary of China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations” was held in SIIS. Mr. Masood Khan, H.E. Ambassador of Pakistan Embassy Beijing and Mr. Zafar Hasan, the Consul General of Pakistan Consulate Shanghai were present on invitation. Prior to the seminar, SIIS President Yang Jiemian and Vice President Chen Dongxiao met with Pakistani guests.
The seminar was presided over by Professor Zhao Gancheng of Center for South Asian Studies. President Yang Jiemian and H.E. Ambassador Masood Khan made opening remarks and delivered the keynote speech respectively. Vice President Chen Dongxiao, Professor Ma Ying of Center for Asia-Pacific Studies and Dr. Shao Yuqun of Center for South Asian Studies and so forth had in-depth discussions with Pakistani guests on issues that deal with the future of China-Pakistan relationship, current setting of Middle East and North Africa and domestic politics and economy of Pakistan.
