March 16, the delegation of South Africa Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC) visited SIIS. Ms. Phyllis Johnson, Executive Director of SARDC, gave a talk on “From Zhou Enlai to Julius Nyerere: The Roots of Modern Relations”. Amb. Christopher Mutsvangwa, former Zimbabwe ambassador to China, delivered a speech on “A New Chapter in China-Zimbabwe Cooperation”. SIIS Vice President Chen Dongxiao presided over the conference. Zhang Chun, Deputy Director of the Center for West Asia & Afica Studies, and Zhang Haibin, Deputy Director of the Institute for World Economy Studies offered their comments and questions. The young researchers and graduate students paticipated in thier conference.
