March 25, Mr. Pierre Morel, EU Special Representative for Central Asia and EU Special Representative for the crisis in Georgia, and Ms. Jenniver Sehring, Consultant of EU Special Representative for Central Asia visited SIIS. SIIS President Yang Jiemian met with the EU guests, and had in-depth discussions on such issues as current configuration in Central Asia, China-Central Asia relations and so forth. Prof. Zhang Yinghong, Deputy Director of Center for European Studies, Dr. Shao Yuqun, Deputy Director of Center for South Asian Studies and a few other research fellows joined the meeting.
