March 16, SIIS hosted the International Symposium on China – Africa / Zimbabwe Relations and Regional Cooperation of Southern Africa. SIIS President Yang Jiemian and Ms. Phyllis Johnson, Executive Director of Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC) made opening remarks on behalf of each institute. The delegates had in-depth discussions on the issues of China–Africa / Zimbabwe relations and southern Africa regional cooperation.
