Workshop of “China-US Cooperation: New Fields and New Prospects” held in SIIS

May 12, Workshop of “China-US Cooperation: New Fields and New Prospects” is held in SIIS. The workshop is co-organized by Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and Center for Naval Analyses (CNA). SIIS President Yang Jiemian and CNA Vice President David Finkelstein delivered opening remarks. SIIS Vice President Chen Dongxiao presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop. The workshop consists of five sessions and touches upon the issue areas of China-US bilateral relations, outer space, maritime security, cyber security and the new development of Pakistan/South Asia. Scholars, analysts, research fellows and think tankers from US-based Center for Naval Analyses (CNA), Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS), Heritage Foundation and China-based China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Academy of Military Science of the PLA, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences(SASS), Fudan University and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) attended the workshop and presented speeches.
