July 27, SIIS President Yang Jiemian, and Vice President Chen Dongxiao met with New Zealand Commissioner General of the World EXPO, Ambassador Philip Gibson, Consul General in Shanghai, Michael Swain, and Deputy Consul General Ms. Sandra Pope. The two sides talked about World EXPO diplomacy and expanding the effects of the World EXPO. Executive Director Wang Lei of Center for World EXPO Studies attended the meeting.
