The Seventh China-ROK-U.S. Future Forum held in SIIS

July 4, The Seventh China-ROK-U.S. Future Forum co-organized by Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and Hallym University of Graduate Studies is held in SIIS. SIIS Vice President Chen Dongxiao and Prof. Bon-Hak KOO, Vice President at the Hallym University of Graduate Studies delivered the opening remarks for the conference. Prof. Taeho KIM from Hallym University of Graduate Studies, Dr. Changsu KIM, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses and Prof. Seung-Yul OH, Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies attended the conference. The Chinese participants include Prof. Liu Ming, Deputy Director of the Institute for Asia-Pacific Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), Prof. Cai Jian, Executive Director of Center for Korean Studies, Fudan University and SIIS fellows Prof. Ma Ying, Director of Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, Dr. Gong Keyu, Deputy Director of Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, Prof. Wu Chunsi, Executive Director of Center for American Studies and Prof. Lian Degui, Deputy Director of Center for Japanese Studies and among others. The forum consists of three sessions: Evolving Direction of Korea Peninsula in New Regional Context, Obama Administration’s “Back to Asia-Pacific” Policy and China-US-ROK Relations, and China and ROK’s economic Development Strategy and the Prospects for Mutual Cooperation.
