The first “Cross-straits Peace and Century Development——Cross-straits Cooperation in the ECFA Era” Symposium is held in SIIS today(October 18th). Wang Zaixi, Vice Chairman of Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, Yang Xiaodu, member of the standing committee of Shanghai Municipal Committee of CPC, and Director Li Wenhui of Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office attended the symposium. SIIS President Yang Jiemian and Chairman Kao Yu-Jen of Taiwan 21st Century Foundation , scholars from both sides and other institutions, attended the symposium. SIIS and 21st Century Foundation signed an agreement on academic exchanges, co-publishing academic research results and establishing institutional cooperation during the symposium.
