International symposium on “G20 and Global Economic Governance: The Prospect of the Cannes Summit and Beyond” held in SIIS

May 19, International symposium on “G20 and Global Economic Governance: The Prospect of the Cannes Summit and Beyond” is held in SIIS. The symposium is co-organized by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). SIIS President Yang Jiemian and FES Resident Director Rudolf Traub-Merz delivered opening remarks. The symposium consists of three sessions and touches upon the issue areas of G20 and Global Economic Governance, Emerging Markets and G20, Cooperation of China and EU on Global Economic Governance within G20, and among others. Officials, scholars, research fellows and think tankers from International Monetary Fund (IMF), European Commission, French Consulate General in Shanghai, House of Representatives of the Philippines and Kiel Institute for World Economy, Germany, Institute for World Economy and International Relations, Russia (IWEIR), Institute for Global Dialogue, South Africa (IGD), Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations and China-based Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC), China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) attended the symposium and presented speeches.
