Mr. Wu Bangguo, Politburo Standing Committee member of CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, recently bestowed his personal handwriting in calligraphy for the title of our Institutes to congratulate our relocation to the new site. The writing is deemed as a full gesture of our national leaders’ high regard for the work carried out by think tanks, of their expectations for the professional work of our Institutes, and of their consideration and care for our entire staff. Deeply heartened and inspired, our colleagues have variously expressed their wish and determination to continue to advance their studies and practices of the scientific outlook on development, to be of assistance to our country’s overall diplomatic activities and for Shanghai’s socioeconomic development, to play an active role in preparations for the World Expo, and to exert our best efforts to develop a new type of innovation-minded, socialist think tank.
