The 40th Trilateral Commission Tokyo Plenary Meeting was held on April 25-26, 2009. SIIS President Yang Jiemian attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting focused on the global financial crisis, recovery & trends of global/regional economies, prospect of East Asia development, and so on. After the meeting, President Yang participated in the seminar co-held by the Trilateral Commission and Japan’s International Exchange Center and made a speech on “where is China heading in global governance?”
