A thirteen-member delegation of Australian Senior Civil Servants visited SIIS and talked with SIIS researchers. Vice President Chen Dongxiao chaired the meeting and Ma Ying, Director of Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, Wu Chunsi, Director of Center for American Studies, and fellows Zhang Jun and Zha Xiaogang participated. Both sides exchanged their opinions on the Sino-U.S. relations in a multipolar world, relations between China and its surrounding countries, multi-lateral diplomacy, the four-nation coalition of America, Japan, India and Australia, and Chinese perspective on the prospect of Asia-Pacific community.
