February 6, SIIS holds the Roundtable Discussion on US Presidential Election & Its Implications for Sino-US Relations. SIIS President Yang Jiemian participates the discussion and delivers the opening remark. Mr. Christopher Hill, Dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, Dr. Richard Solomon, President of the US Institute of Peace, Mr. Robert Griffiths, US Consul General in Shanghai and research fellows from Shanghai Association of American Studies, Shanghai Institute of American Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Pudong Institute for the US Economy, and Shanghai East Asia Institute join the discussion. Prof. Yu Xintian, Chairwoman of the Academic Council of SIIS, Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Center for American Studies, SIIS, Dr. Zhang Zhexin, Assistant Director, Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau Studies, SIIS, and Mr. Zha Xiaogang from the Center for American Studies, SIIS participate the roundtable discussion.
