April 17-18, the International Conference on the "Green Development and Governance Innovation: Prospects on the Rio+20 Summit" is held in SIIS. SIIS President Yang Jiemian and Ms. Catrina Schläger, Resident Director of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Shanghai Office deliver the opening remarks on behalf of SIIS and FES. SIIS Vice President Chen Dongxiao participates and makes presentation for the conference. Co-sponsored by SIIS and FES, the conference invites officials, scholars and experts from the United Nations, China, and Brazil, Europe, India, and the United States to have in-depth discussions on the pre-evaluation of forthcoming Rio+20 Summit and the opportunities and challenges of sustainable development.
