October 17, the International Symposium on “African Perspectives on Africa-China Relations & The Sustainable Development of FOCAC” is held in Nairobi, Kenya. The symposium is sponsored by SIIS and Foreign Service Institute, Kenya. Officials and scholars from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya, Embassy of China in Kenya, University of Nairobi, China Foreign Affairs University, Institute for West Asian and African Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University (IASZNU), Shanghai Wen Hui Daily and among others take participation in the symposium. The symposium consists of three sessions: Perspectives on Africa-China Relations, Comparative Analysis of FOCAC and other International Regimes in Africa, and Policy Suggestions on FOCAC’s Sustainable Development. During the symposium, SIIS signs Memorandum of Understanding with Kenya Foreign Service Institute to establish further cooperation and exchange programs.
