July 20, SIIS holds a video conference on the “Strategic Goal, Interests and policy of China and Russia in East Asia and the Asia Pacific Region” with the Institute of History, Archaeology and Anthropology of the Far East at the Far East Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). SIIS President Yang Jiemian delivers the key note keynote speech on promoting the Sino- Russian cooperation. President B. Victor L. Larin delivers the keynote speech on the major factors and obstacles of Russia’s policy towards the Aisa-Pacific region. Prof. Lixin and Dr. Qiang Xiaoyun talk about the prospect of Russia’s integration into the Aisa-Pacific region in the aspect of politics and economy. Л.Galyamova L., E. Y.V. Pustovoyt and Prof. Wu Jinan talk about the China- US-Russia trilateral relation in the Asia-Pacific region and the Sino-Japanese relation. The two sides also have a deep discussion on the politics, economy and security of the Asia-Pacific region as well as the strengthening of the strategic cooperation between the China and Russia.
