November 25, Initiated by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the first ASEAN-China Forum is held in Singapore. Sponsored by S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), the forum invites many officials and experts from China and ASEAN countries to have deep discussions on realities and prospects of ASEAN-China relationship, tension management on South China Sea issue, Regional Cooperation Architecture building in East Asia and some other issues. On the forum, Madam Fu Ying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs delivers the opening remark. SIIS President Yang Jiemian leads a delegation to the forum and delivers the keynote speech. The next round of the forum will be sponsored by SIIS.
