On May 8-9, SIIS and FES co-hold “Restructuring of International Trade and Investment System: What Role for China” International Workshop. Participants from China, Germany, America, Japan, Korea, Britain, India and other countries have a warm discussion on assessment of the 2013 WTO Bali Agreement and its relevance to China, strategic direction of the WTO and China’s role, new trends of mega-regionalization and China’s position, China’s rise as a global FDI exporter and its investment policy implications, case studies- China-EU BIT negotiations and China-US BIT negotiations, Shanghai Free Trade Pilot Zone and the roadmap of China’s opening strategy. President Chen Dongxiao chairs the meeting.
