SIIS holds International Conference on “Asian Countries and the Arctic Future”

On April 23-26, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and Fridtjof Nansen Institute co-host the international conference on “Asian Countries and the Arctic Future”. Mr. Yang Jian, Vice President of SIIS and Mr. Leiv Lunde, Director of FNI and Prof. Oran Yang, famous scholar in the area of global governance, deliver keynotes. Participants from China, Norway, United States, Singapore, Russia, Japan, Korea, Finland, India have a warm discussion on the Arctic governance: mission and evolution, the development of the Arctic natural resources and infrastructures and Asian interests, geopolitics of the Arctic: perspectives of Asian and Arctic states. The conference is supported by China-Nordic Arctic Research Center.
