On October 31 and November 1, SIIS holds the international conference on “Promoting Asian Security Architecture Building through Win-win Cooperation”. Mr. Cai Run, Director-General of the Policy Planning Department of Chinese MFA, delivers the keynote speech for the conference. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao chairs the conference and Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Council of SIIS Academic Affairs, delivers the conclusion remark. The conference, which is the 2^nd International conference of the “CICA Think Tank Roundtable”, invites participants from China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Participants have in-depth discussions on current situation of Asian security cooperation, CICA Shanghai Summit and the prospect of Asian Security Architecture, Anti-terrorism and non-traditional security cooperation, regional economic integration and regional security cooperation, and the Afghanistan issue.
