On December 6-7, SIIS and the Institute of Asian Research at UBC held the international conference on “Advancing Cooperative Security in Asia Pacific: Ingredients of a 21st Century Security Order”. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao chaired the conference. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Council of SIIS Academic Affairs gave the lecture on China’s foreign policy for the conference participants. As the 4^th conference of the “China-Canadian Dialogue”, the conference invited 20 experts to have an in-depth discussion on cooperative security in Asia-Pacific, regional response to “consociational security order (CSO)” and “Cooperative Security Order 2.0”, Asia security architecture, and some other issues.
