SIIS President Chen leads a delegation to attend SIIS-CSIS Cooperation Seminar

During April 27-29th, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao led the SIIS delegation to Washington D.C. to attend the seminar U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Economic Order which is co-organized by SIIS and Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and sponsored by the U.S.-China Exchange Foundation based in Hong Kong. During the seminar, the participants from both sides expressed the views on international monetary system, international trade and investment regime and the architecture of international development financing. Despite all the debates, there also came with important consensus that the U.S. and China could cooperate bilaterally for the effective function of global economic order. Madam Carla Hills, current chairwoman of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and former U.S. Trade Representative hosted a dinner to the delegation and had meaningful exchanges with President Chen on U.S.-China relationship. Mr. John Hamre, the President and CEO of CSIS also had talks with President Chen on how to further promote cooperation between the two institutions and on the developments of U.S.-China relations.
