From May 11 to 12, 2015, SIIS held the Third CICA Think Tank Roundtable under the title Asian Security Cooperation: Issues, Concepts and Institutions. Participants from Afghanistan, China, Kazakhstan, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand and Turkey attended the Roundtable. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao chaired the opening session. Prof. Yang Jiemian chaired the concluding session. Ms. Xing Fangfang, senior official of China to CICA delivered the opening remarks.
Participants had an in-depth discussion on Asian security developments and new challenges, Silk Road and its security aspects, the Asian security concept and structures, and the role of CICA. The Chairman Statement of the Third CICA Think Tank Roundtable was issued after the two-day Roundtable.
