SIIS Holds Workshop on the Situation in HongKong

On June 25th, SIIS held the workshop on“Hong Kong’s Future Development after the Electoral Reform Proposal Been Vetoed”. Participants discussed issues on Hong Kong’s political structure in the future, Central Government’s Hong Kong Policy, as well as the trends of pan-democratic camp and the pro-establishment camp. Dr. Yan Anlin, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Studies chaired the discussion. Experts and scholars from the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Fudan University, East China Normal University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute for East Asian Studies and SIIS joined the workshop.
