On Oct.19th-22nd, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao attended the twelfth annual meeting  of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi and gave a speech at its plenary session and several interviews to Russian media outlets during the meeting. The theme of this year’s meeting was “Societies between War and Peace: Overcoming the Logic of Conflict in Tomorrow’s World.”Russian President Vladimir Putin, top Russian government official, and more than a hundred representatives from national governments and academia took part in the meeting.
