On Feb. 1st, Mr. Steven Angel, Defense Liaison Officer from the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai visited SIIS and exchanged views on current situation in Taiwai, trends of Cross-Strait relations, and South China Sea issue with Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Institute for Taiwai, Hongkong & Macao Studies, and Dr. Niu Haibin, Deputy Director of the Center for American Studies. Dr. Xue Chen, Research Fellow of the Institute for International Strategic Studies and Zhou Shixin, Research Fellow of the Institute for Foreign Policy also participated in the meeting.
