The 3rd T20 China Meeting was Held in Shanghai

On Feb. 25th-26th,Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), the Institute of World Economics and Politics of CASS, and Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China (RDCY), jointly hosted the “MDBs and the G20 Development Agenda” T20 Shanghai Conference, rightly before the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting  (Shanghai).
As a platform for global Think-Tanks representatives to contribute their wisdom and ideas for G20, T20 meetings are important components of G20 meetings. Nearly 70 participants attended the meeting, including experts, political leaders, and policy practitioners from more than 10 countries’ think tanks, governments, and international organizations. The attendees had intensive discussions on the theme and provided many proposals and suggestions.
 
Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS gave opening remarks. Mr. Paulo Nogueira Batista, Vice-President of New Development Bank, Mr. Bert Hofman, Country Director of China, Mongolia and Korea of World Bank, Mr. Chen Huan, Chief Officer of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and Mr. Hamid L. Sharif, Country Director for the Asian Development Bank's Resident Mission in China made their keynote speeches. The opening and closing ceremony was respectively moderated by Ms. Yang Yanqing, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Business News and Prof. Wang Wen, Executive Dean of RDCY. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS’ Academic Committee gave closing remarks.
