Through July 30 to August 2 2016, Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council visited Indonesia. He participated in the Eminent Expert Meeting for Promoting Regional Cooperation: Peace, Stability and Prosperity in East Asian Seas and answered the questions from ambassadors and media professionals to ASEAN. During his visit, Prof. Yang also had meetings with H.E. Mr. Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie, former President of Indonesia, Chinese charge d’affaires to Indonesia Mr. Sun Weide, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Ambassador Xu Bu etc. Besides, Prof. Yang delivered a keynote speech for the diplomats from Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and Chinese Mission to ASEAN on the power of discourse in the international community.
