From September 5 to September 9, SIIS Vice President Yang Jian, Dr. Zhang Yinghong and Dr. Long Jing visit Poland and Czech Republic. In Poland, SIIS delegation holds the roundtable seminar on “China-CEE Countries Cooperation: China’s investment in Poland” with the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM). Leaders from the Department of Asia-Pacific of the Polish MFA, director of the Polish Bureau of Information and Foreign Investment and participants from the enterprises attend the seminar and have an in-depth discussion on “China-Poland relation under the framework of China-Europe strategic partnership”, “Comparative study on Chinese and Polish special economic zones and high-tech parks”, and some other issues. In Czech Republic, SIIS delegation visits the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education, Charles University-Economic Institute, Academy of Science of the Czech Republic (CERGE-EI) and the Institute of International Relations, CR (IIR) and has discussions on the prospect for China-Czech cooperation under the framework of China-CEE countries cooperation. The delegation also pays a visit to Huawei Poland Company.
