On Oct. 4^th to Oct. 7^th, SIIS delegation led by Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council, visited Ethiopia. During the stay, the delegation met with Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome, Mr. El Ghassim Wane, Director of Peace & Security Department of Union Commission, Ms. Ingrid Cyimana, Director of Strategic Planning and Operational Quality Divison, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and Dr. Kidane Kiros, Director of Institute for Peace and Security Studies. Both sides exchanged views on issues of security situation in Africa, the global development agenda and Africa Progress, think-tank cooperation, and so on.
