From May 22-26, 2016, an SIIS delegation visited Azerbaijan led by Prof. Qiang Xiaoyun, deputy director of the Center for Central Asian and Russian Studies. Dr. Cao Jiahan and Mr. Qiu Xudong from the Institute for Public Policy Studies joined the visit. The delegation attended  the Central Asia workshop on climate change in Baku which was co-hosted by the Stockholm Environment Institute (Sweden) and Center for Ecology & Hydrolog of the Natural Environment Research Council (UK). The delegation also paid a visit to the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
