On 25th December 2008, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) held the Press Conference to release its research report of Beijing Summit & the Third Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation—Appraisal and Prospects. Dr. CHEN Dong Xiao, the Vice President of SIIS, Professor LI Wei Jian, Director of the Department of East Asian and African Studies, Professor ZHANG Zhong Xiang, Dr. ZHANG Chun and Mr. ZHU Ming, Dr. ZHANG Hai Bing, Deputy Director of The World Economic Studies, Dr. WU Chun Si, Deputy Director of American Studies met with the journalists from Jie Fang Daily, Wen Hui Bao, Oriental Morning Post, Oriental Outlook and Shanghai Evening Post. The experts on Africa based in Shanghai, including Professor SHU Yun Guo from Shanghai Normal University, Professor YU Jian Hua from Shanghai Academy of Social Science and Dr. JIAN Jun Bo from Fu Dan University, were also invited to make comments in the conference.
