May 12, Mr. Daniel Biers, Deputy Chief of the Political Section at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) visited SIIS, and had discussions that touch upon the recent development of cross-Strait relations with Prof. Yan Anlin, Executive Director of Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Studies and research fellow Ms. Tong Liqun.
