The international conference entitled “Transition of the Geo-economy: China and Russia in the Multilateral World” was held on September 3. SIIS President Yang Jiemian presided over the banquet and Vice President Yang Jian attended the opening ceremony and took part in the discussion. Besides, over forty leading scholars from China and Russia attended this meeting.
During this two-day seminar, scholars had a in-depth discussion on the long-term development of world economy and reform of the international financial system, the re-organization of international finance and World Bank system in geo-economic terms, the change of international financial system and cooperation between China and Russia, security and economic cooperation among SCO members, Sino-Russian regional cooperation in the multilateral world, the prospect and restrains of Sino-Russian economic relations in the post-crisis era.
