November 19, SIIS holds the Conference on “Carbon Market and Global Governance for Green Development”. The conference invites experts from SAIS, Environment Economy Centre at Fudan University, Shanghai Environmental Exchanges, Shanghai Futures Exchange, WWF, Shanghai Tower Construction and Development Co., Ltd, and the East China Normal University. Deputy Director Yu Hongyuan, Dr. Cao Jiahan and Dr. Li Guanjie from the Institute for Comparative Politics and Public Policy Studies at SIIS attend the conference. The experts at the conference have a deep discussion on the carbon markets and emissions trading system, low carbon and climate change, the US factors in Energy markets and some other issues.
