May 10, SIIS holds the Speeches on China-Latin America Relations. Mr. Enrique V. Iglesias, Secretary-general of the Ibero-American Cooperation Secretariat and Mr. Enrique García Rodríguez, President and CEO of the Development Bank of Latin America give speeches on “Latin America’s Role in the Process of Building a New International Order” and “Challenges and Opportunities of China-Latin America Economic Relations” respectively. Dr. Wu Chunsi, Executive Director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies chairs the event. Officials and experts from the Institute of Latin America at CASS, Cuba Consulate General in Shanghai, Mexico Consulate General in Shanghai and Shanghai Foreign Office participate in the event. Prof. Zhang Mingde, Dr. Niu Haibin and Miss Huang Fangfang from the Center for American Studies at SIIS also join the discussion.
