August 5, Prof. Gareth Evans, Former Australian Foreign Minister and current Chancellor of the Australian National University visits SIIS together with Prof. Ramesh Thakur, Director of the Centre for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament (CNND), Australian National University and diplomats from the Australian Consulate-General in Shanghai. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao receives the group and hosts a roundtable discussion with Chinese scholars.
