August 23, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao meets with a delegation from the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile), led by Chilean Congressman Ernesto Silva Mendez. Dr. Shao Yunqun, Executive Director of the Center for American Studies, Dr. Niu Haibin and Ms. Huang Fangfang, members of the Center for American Studies also attend the meeting. The two sides talk about bilateral relations, cultural and educational exchanges, bilateral cooperations and some other issues.
