On November 10, Mr. Jean-Baptiste Jeangene Vilmer policy adviser on security issues at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited SIIS and met with Dr. Zhang Yao, Director of the Center for Maritime and Polar Affairs Studies, Dr. Fang Xiao, Deputy Director of the Center for European Studies, Dr, Xue Chen, research fellow of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, and Dr. Xue Lei, research fellow of the Institute for World Economy Studies. Both sides exchanged views on China’s foreign policy, Sino-Russian relations, and issues of international law.
