On Nov. 9th, Mr. Ershad Ahmadi, former Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Director of the Kabul Compass Research Institute led a delegation of Afghanistan think tanks visited SIIS, and exchanged views with President Chen Dongxiao on the issues of domestic political reconciliation and security cooperation between China and Afghanistan. SIIS Research Fellows such as Dr. Ye Qing, Director of the Center for west Asian & African Studies, and Prof. Zhao Gancheng, Director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies participated in the discussion.
