On Oct. 14^th, SIIS and Saferworld co-held a workshop titled “ China’s cooperation in Central Asia & the implications for peace and stability”. President Chen Dongxiao and Mr. Bernardo Marianion, Head of China Programme Saferworld gave opening remarks. Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Center for American Studies chaired the discussion. Representatives from Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, East China Normal University, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Royal Society and British Academy for Social Sciences, University of Exeter, King's College London participated in the workshop.
