On Oct. 19^th, invited by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries(CPAFFC), Bob Duff, Majority leader of the Connecticut Senate led a delegation of U.S. State Senators and Congressmen to visit SIIS. Professor Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the SIIS Academic Committee met the delegation, and had discussion on China-U.S. Relations and the economic restructure in Shanghai with the guests. Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Center for American Studies participated in the meeting.
