On Oct. 30^th，Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) held the Symposium on “Facing the Taiwan Political Situation and Cross-Straits relations in 2016”. Mr. Li Wenhui, Director of Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office, Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS, and Mr. Lin Bingkun, President of Non-Partisan Solidarity Union gave opening remarks. Prof. Yan Anlin, Vice-President of SIIS and Director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies chaired the discussion. Representatives from government departments, think tanks, academic organizations attended the symposium and shared their opinions.
