On February 19, 2016, delegation of German Federal Academy for Security Policy visited SIIS. Led by Mr. Karl Heinz Kamp, President of the Academy, the delegation was composed of scholars, officials, entrepreneurs and media professionals. Mr. Peter Rothen, German Consul General in Shanghai, also joined the meeting. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council, Prof. Ye Qing, Assistant President of SIIS and other research fellows attended the meeting. The two sides had a discussion on China’s peripheral diplomacy, “One Belt, One Road” strategy, and economic development etc.
